TJWHO
TJWHO, founded in 2018, is a global brand that provides a modern refinement of cross-culturally infused designs. One of their key design methodologies entails identifying and exploring similarities between the African context and the many cultures of the world in order to create new interpretations that are expressive, functional, and vastly representative. They hope to showcase fashionable and innovative concepts from the African continent by using design as a tool for expression.
Taju Ibrahim, the company's founder and creative director, holds a degree in Architectural Technology from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom. – Driven by passion, the majority of his fashion design skill-set has been self-taught over the years, with only a few months of professional tailoring training. His cultural background is Yoruba, having been raised in Northern Nigeria.
His cultural background and upbringing, as well as his years of study and travel, all contribute to his refined design outlook.
When designing pieces with which people can connect, representation is important. By drawing on references such as West-African culture, European bespoke tailoring, Japanese textiles, and Moroccan embroidery, we are able to cultivate several signatures that are easily recognizable and distinguishable within our designs. These signatures are poured into several of our favorite design fields, including clothing and accessories, interior architecture, furniture design, and retail design.

Their brand slogan "#DesignedinAfrica, #MadeonEarth" represents the origins of our garment composition, in which different elements such as textiles and hardware that comprise a garment are sourced from various parts of the world.
Accessories give more importance to your personal style, taste and preferences. They also offer unlimited opportunities for clothes, helping you to do the best of each item you have. Clothes take up more space physically in your closet and clothes, but accessories are important details to complete each appearance. By itself, a bag, scarf or jewelry will give much effect.
