Sonma

Sonma (pronounced Son-Ma) means ‘So beautiful’ in the Igbo language. The name was inspired by the fact that it is important that everything within our control feels beautiful and we are constantly reminded that every bit of us is what makes us beautiful, much like the different colours of the Ankara fabric.

Sonma was born out of a desire to bring Fun, Flirty and Fabulous clothing with a cultural influence. It is indeed the best of both worlds, an infusion of  Rich vibrant prints in western style designs. 

       

The Clothes are made and fabrics are sourced from amazing artisans spread across different parts of Nigeria with one thing in common, creating a better future for themselves and their families by working very hard for a brighter future despite the odds. Every item you buy, not only puts money in their pockets but also brings them pride at what they have achieved. A dress they have made is being worn and cherished by someone most likely of a different culture.

You in turn get to own not just a piece of clothing but, a legacy that your purchase has helped to grow. Their clothes are unapologetically African.
