Bloke
Bloke has created sustainable and gender-fluid ready-to-wear collections that embrace the concepts of inclusivity and cooperation since its debut in 2015. Bloke founder Faith Oluwajimi, winner of the inaugural Emerge ALRA award recognizing young creatives in the Lagos community, forges a new path of cultural inquiry with his avant-garde approach to textiles and knits. The brand highlights the diverse voices of Oluwajimi's community by updating traditional Nigerian prints and designs supplied from local artists. Bloke's colorful and multi-colored designs present everyday wear with a whimsical twist, from knit sweaters with damaged hems to cotton patchwork tunics and flared paneled pants. Bloke's well-crafted and experimental goods, which generously depict the exuberance of their local surroundings, challenge the link between art, culture, and fashion.
